This is a part of something that is not whole yet. Potentially a future version of this will become the headline essay of my thesis, or potentially not— I just like the title Bobcat Gold Rush because I love California.

California is to the word home, as the sun is to heliotropes. Being from a place with gold flecks rushing through rivers and tangerine sunsets has tricked me into thinking I have a midas touch way of life.

I keep an ongoing list of odds and ends titled “Stuff For Things.”

This is not a very fun thing to read or write because I feel like I ran out of things to say. So after my reflection of Saturday is a poem (I think) from something else I have been working on. Thank you.
